Targus ASF238W9EU privacyfilter 60,5 cm (23,8")

Privacy screens for tablet, laptop or desktop screens provide on-screen data protection by limiting viewing angles so only users positioned directly in front of the display can see the content. These reversible filters also act as a screen protector, combine anti-glare performance with an anti-microbial coating suitable for touch-enabled and dual-screen devices, and help reduce eyestrain in both bright and low-glare environments.

Advantages

The Targus privacy screen blocks side viewing to protect sensitive information while remaining touch-sensitive for use with capacitive screens. A SKANE™ M-8 anti-microbial coating inhibits bacterial growth, making the filter appropriate for shared or public environments. The double-sided design offers a glossy side for clear indoor viewing and a matte side to cut glare in bright surroundings, and the product fits a wide range of devices and screen sizes.

Key specifications

• Compatible devices: tablets, laptops and desktop monitors
• Viewing protection: narrows viewing angle so only front-facing users see screen content
• Touch compatibility: works with touch screens and remains more touch-sensitive than many competing filters
• Coating: SKANE™ M-8 anti-microbial coating to inhibit bacterial growth
• Surface: reversible — glossy side for clarity, matte side for anti-glare
• Function: also serves as a screen protector

How to use

Align the privacy screen to the display and attach it according to the device-specific mounting method (adhesive tabs, slide-on frame or clip system). Choose the glossy side inward for maximum clarity in low-glare indoor conditions or flip to the matte side when working in bright environments to reduce reflections. Clean the surface with a soft, lint-free cloth and a manufacturer-approved screen cleaner; avoid abrasive materials and excessive moisture to preserve the anti-microbial coating and optical clarity.

Recommendations

For best results select the privacy screen size that matches your device’s visible screen area and follow the supplied fitting instructions. Replace the filter if it shows persistent wear or damage that affects visibility or touch sensitivity. Regular gentle cleaning maintains clarity and the effectiveness of the anti-microbial coating.
