4smarts draadloze CarPlay / Android Auto-adapter zwart, USB-A / USB-C, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 5 GHz (541818)

The 4smarts Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto Adapter is a compact 2-in-1 dongle that turns a factory wired CarPlay or Android Auto connection into a fully wireless one. Once it is paired, your phone links to the car automatically every time you get in, so you no longer have to plug a cable into the dashboard. It connects to the vehicle's USB port via USB-A or USB-C (an included adapter covers both port types) and streams the interface to the head unit over a dedicated 5 GHz Wi-Fi link, with Bluetooth 4.2 handling the initial handshake.

Advantages

Setup is genuinely plug-and-play: there is no companion app to install and no complicated configuration. You plug the adapter into the car's USB socket, pair your phone once, and from then on the connection is established wirelessly on its own. A glowing LED ring gives a clear, at-a-glance status indication, and the housing is small enough to tuck away neatly near the port. Because it works with both USB-A and USB-C, it suits older and newer vehicle ports alike.

Suitable for

• Drivers with factory wired Apple CarPlay who want a cable-free, wireless experience
• Drivers with factory wired Android Auto looking to connect their phone automatically
• Vehicles fitted with either a USB-A or USB-C media/data port
• Anyone who wants navigation, music and calls without plugging in a cable each trip

How to use

Plug the adapter into your car's USB-A or USB-C port (use the supplied converter if needed) and wait for the head unit to start CarPlay or Android Auto. On first use, pair your smartphone with the adapter as prompted; the connection then runs over Wi-Fi for low-latency screen, audio and navigation. After this one-time pairing, the phone reconnects automatically whenever you enter the vehicle. Control music, calls and navigation as usual through Siri or Google Assistant, the touchscreen or the rotary knob.

Recommendations

Make sure your vehicle already supports wired CarPlay or Android Auto, as this adapter adds the wireless layer rather than enabling the feature itself. For the most stable link, keep your phone's software up to date and leave the adapter connected to a powered USB port. The compact LED ring confirms connection status at a glance, so position the adapter where the indicator stays visible.
