5-poorts unmanaged 2.5G Ethernet-switch LEVELONE GEU-0525 — 5× 2.5G RJ-45, unmanaged, 25 Gbit/s switching, wandmontage

The LevelOne GEU-0525 is a 5-port unmanaged 2.5‑Gigabit Ethernet switch that provides a simple, cost-effective upgrade to 2500 Mbps connectivity. It supports 100/1000/2500Base‑T on five RJ45 copper ports, an 8K MAC address table and a 25 Gbit/s switching capacity in a compact desktop or wall-mountable enclosure. The switch is powered by an included DC adapter and operates as a plug-and-play device with diagnostic LEDs for link and activity status.

Advantages

The GEU-0525 delivers higher throughput than standard gigabit switches, enabling faster transfers of large multimedia files such as video, CAD or CGI. As an unmanaged switch with auto‑MDI/MDIX and auto‑negotiation, it requires no configuration and eliminates the need for crossover cables. IEEE 802.3x flow control and support for 15K jumbo frames improve reliability and efficiency for bursty or large-packet traffic.

Suitable for

• Small offices and home offices requiring faster LAN transfers
• Workgroups handling large multimedia files (video editing, CAD, CGI)
• Expanding wired connections for routers, servers or access points
• Desktop or wall-mount installations in tight spaces

How to use

Connect the GEU-0525 to your network using standard Cat5e/Cat6 cables: plug any RJ45 port into a router, server, PC or another switch. The ports support auto‑MDI/MDIX so straight or crossover cables are both acceptable. Power the unit with the supplied DC adapter and check the LEDs to confirm link and activity. No configuration is required; devices on the LAN will automatically negotiate the highest supported speed.

Recommendations

For optimal 2.5‑Gb performance use Cat5e or Cat6 cables and ensure connected devices support 2.5G Ethernet. Place the switch in a well-ventilated area and mount securely if using the wall-mount option. For environments with heavy traffic, enable flow control on connected endpoints where available to reduce packet loss.
