Aanwezigheidsmelder Jung 3361-1WW KNX Universal — KNX-aanwezigheidssensor voor ruimtedetectie

The Jung 3361-1WW KNX Universal — KNX presence sensor for room detection is a KNX-compatible presence detector designed for reliable occupancy detection in indoor environments. It interfaces with KNX building automation systems to provide presence/absence signals that can be used to control lighting, HVAC, and other automated functions. The sensor supports universal mounting options and is suitable for use in offices, corridors, meeting rooms and comparable indoor spaces where automated, occupancy-based control improves comfort and energy efficiency.

Advantages

The device offers dependable presence detection integrated with the KNX bus, enabling centralized control and scene integration without additional wiring. Its universal mounting design allows flexible installation in standard ceilings or on surfaces as required. The sensor delivers clear presence/absence switching to reduce energy consumption by ensuring systems operate only when spaces are occupied. Compatibility with KNX ensures straightforward configuration and interoperability with other KNX devices for lighting, ventilation and shading control.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the sensor at the planned location using the appropriate mounting accessory for ceiling or surface mounting, following local electrical and building regulations. Connect the device to the KNX bus and configure group addresses, detection timeouts and sensitivity via the KNX commissioning tool. Use the presence/absence signals in the KNX system to trigger lighting on/off, HVAC setpoint changes or scene activation according to the required logic. Verify detection coverage and adjust mounting position or sensitivity settings if necessary to avoid false triggers from adjacent spaces.

Recommendations

Place the sensor centrally in the monitored area and avoid mounting near large heat sources or direct sunlight to maintain stable detection performance. During commissioning, test detection with typical room occupancy and refine timeout and sensitivity settings to balance responsiveness with energy savings.
