Accumonitor Victron Energy Smart Battery Sense SBS050150200, groot bereik tot 10 m

Victron Energy Smart Battery Sense SBS050150200 long range up to 10m is a wireless sensor that measures battery voltage and temperature and transmits this data to compatible Victron devices. Designed for use where a direct wired sense connection is impractical, the sensor communicates wirelessly over an extended range to support accurate state-of-charge calculations and improved battery management. It is intended for use with Victron monitoring and charging systems in marine, recreational vehicle and off-grid installations.

Advantages

The wireless design eliminates the need for long sense wires and reduces installation complexity while providing real-time battery voltage and temperature data. Long-range communication up to 10 m increases placement flexibility inside cabins, compartments or enclosures. Direct measurement of voltage and temperature enables compatible Victron equipment to calculate a more accurate state-of-charge and to apply appropriate charge algorithms, helping to protect battery health and optimise charging efficiency.

Suitable for

• Marine battery banks in boats and yachts
• Leisure vehicles (RVs, motorhomes, campervans)
• Off-grid and remote power systems
• Installations where sensor wiring is difficult or must be minimised

Key specifications

• Functions: wireless measurement of battery voltage and temperature
• Wireless range: up to 10 m in typical installation environments
• Compatibility: communicates with Victron monitoring and charging devices that support Smart Battery Sense
• Installation: compact sensor designed for attachment to battery terminal or nearby mounting
• Power: battery-powered or self-powered operation as defined by manufacturer design

How to use

Mount the sensor according to the manufacturer's guidance close to the battery terminal or on the battery casing so it accurately senses temperature and voltage. Pair the sensor with a compatible Victron device following the device pairing procedure to establish a wireless link. Once paired, verify that the monitoring device receives battery voltage and temperature readings and confirm that state-of-charge and charging parameters are updating correctly. Position the sensor to maintain line-of-sight or minimal obstruction where possible to achieve the best wireless range.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid placing the sensor inside heavily shielded metal enclosures; allow clearance from large sources of electromagnetic interference and maintain battery connections in good condition. Regularly check firmware compatibility and pairing status with Victron devices and follow battery manufacturer guidance for mounting to prevent corrosion or contact issues.
