Actieve luidspreker dBTechnologies KL 15, 1000 W

The dBTechnologies KL 15 is an active speaker with a 15" woofer designed for live sound reinforcement and fixed installations. Offering a peak power rating of 1000W, the KL 15 combines a compact, rugged enclosure with a sound profile intended to reproduce clear midrange and controlled low frequencies. Its built-in amplification and on-board connectivity allow direct connection to mixers and audio sources without the need for external power amps, while the package emphasizes portability and practical handling for mobile PA and venue setups.

Advantages

The integrated amplifier and speaker configuration reduces setup complexity and provides reliable power delivery for both speech and music applications. The 15" woofer supports extended low-frequency response while the enclosure is constructed for durability during transport and repeated use. On-board inputs and outputs give flexible connectivity options for live sound chains and monitoring, and the relatively lightweight design improves portability for single-person handling and quick rigging.

Suitable for

• Live music performances and small to medium-sized concerts
• DJ sets and mobile entertainers
• Corporate events, conferences, and presentations
• Fixed installation in bars, clubs, and houses of worship
• Stage monitoring and portable PA systems

Key specifications

• Speaker type: Active two-way loudspeaker
• Woofer size: 15 inches
• Power: 1000W peak amplification
• Frequency response: designed for extended lows and clear mids (manufacturer tuning)
• Enclosure: rugged, transport-friendly cabinet with built-in mounting points
• Connectivity: onboard inputs and outputs for direct connection to mixers and audio sources
• Portability: lightweight construction for easier handling and quick setup

How to use

Place the KL 15 on a suitable stand or mount it according to venue requirements, ensuring stable support and proper orientation toward the audience. Connect a mixer or audio source using the provided inputs, set the gain and tone controls to match the room acoustics, and adjust the amplifier output to an appropriate level to avoid clipping. For stereo setups or larger coverage, use two units and position them to achieve even dispersion. Follow general safety practices for cabling and mounting to prevent falls or overheating.

Recommendations

For consistent performance, allow the speaker to run at moderate levels during initial use to settle components, and avoid extreme clipping which can damage the driver or amplifier. Use balanced connections where possible to minimise interference and choose appropriate stands or mounting hardware rated for the cabinet weight.
