Actieve optische kabel DeLOCK 83201 USB 10 Gbit/s Type-A op Type-C 7,5 m

The Active Optical Cable DeLOCK 83201 is a 7.5 m USB data cable that connects devices with a USB Type-C™ connector to a PC or laptop with a USB Type-A port. The Type-C connector features securing screws to prevent accidental unplugging. As an active optical cable, it uses optical fiber to transmit high-speed signals over longer distances with less signal loss than conventional copper cables. The cable jacket is made from NBR material for increased flexibility and durability.

Advantages

The cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB 3.1 Gen 2) data rates up to 10 Gbps and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices. Optical fiber construction makes the cable thinner, lighter and able to carry signals over extended distances without significant degradation. The NBR jacket improves resistance to abrasion and bending, making the cable suitable for demanding environments and drag chain installations. Securing screws on the Type-C connector ensure a stable physical connection.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB Type-C devices to PCs or laptops with USB-A ports
• Data transfer tasks requiring up to 10 Gbps bandwidth
• Installations where cable flexibility and durability are needed (e.g., drag chains)
• Setups that benefit from a secured connector to prevent accidental unplugging

Key specifications

• Brand: DELOCK
• Model: 83201

How to use

Connect the USB Type-A plug to an available USB port on your PC or laptop and attach the USB Type-C connector to the target device. Tighten the screws on the Type-C connector to secure the connection and avoid accidental disconnection. The cable is plug-and-play; the connected devices will negotiate the appropriate USB mode and transfer speed automatically, subject to device compatibility.

Recommendations

For best performance, use with devices that support USB 10 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2). Avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile stress on the cable; route the cable to prevent kinks and protect connectors from impact. Clean connector contacts only when powered off and with appropriate non-abrasive tools.
