Actieve optische kabel DELOCK USB-C naar DisplayPort 10 m (model 81605)

Active Optical Cable DELOCK USB-C to DisplayPort 10 m (model 81605) provides a long-reach digital connection between a USB-C source that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and a DisplayPort monitor or projector. The cable uses optical signalling technology to transmit high-bandwidth video and audio over a 10-metre distance while maintaining signal integrity and reducing susceptibility to electromagnetic interference common in copper cables. The design is intended for situations that require extended cable runs without repeaters or bulky extenders.

Advantages

The active optical construction enables stable high-resolution transmission across a 10 m span with reduced signal loss and minimal latency compared to passive alternatives. Its USB-C to DisplayPort interface supports straightforward plug-and-play connection with compatible laptops, tablets and smartphones that provide DisplayPort Alt Mode. The cable’s optical core reduces weight and bending stiffness relative to equivalent long copper cables, which simplifies routing and installation in conference rooms, home offices and AV setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting a USB-C laptop or device with DisplayPort Alt Mode to a DisplayPort monitor at a distance of up to 10 m
• Long-distance desktop or meeting-room presentations and projector connections
• Home office or multimedia workstation setups requiring a tidy, reliable video link
• AV installations where reduced electromagnetic interference is beneficial

Key specifications

• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Connector A: USB-C (supports DisplayPort Alt Mode)
• Connector B: DisplayPort (full-size)
• Length: 10 metres
• Signal transmission: optical fibre for video and audio
• Supported features: digital video and audio transmission, plug-and-play operation with compatible sources
• Typical use: single-cable video link without external power or repeaters

How to use

Connect the USB-C end to a source device that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and connect the DisplayPort end to a monitor or projector. Ensure both devices are powered on and set to the appropriate input on the display. No special drivers are typically required; the display should be detected automatically by the host device. When routing the cable, avoid tight bends around sharp corners and keep the optical section free from kinks to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this cable within its specified 10 m length and avoid coiling it tightly or bending it beyond the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius. Keep the connectors clean and dry, and store the cable without sharp folds. If using the cable in a fixed AV installation, secure it with gentle clips or cable ties designed for fibre cables to prevent stress on the optical core.
