Adapter ShiverPeaks 57101 mono 3,5 mm jack naar coaxstekker

The ShiverPeaks 57101 Mono 3.5mm to Coax connector is a compact passive audio adapter that converts a 3.5 mm mono plug to a coaxial input. Designed for straightforward signal routing, this adapter allows devices with a mono 3.5 mm output—such as small recorders, portable audio players, or legacy equipment—to connect to coax-equipped mixers, amplifiers, or PA systems. Its passive construction requires no external power and retains signal polarity for basic mono audio transmission.

Advantages

This adapter provides a simple and reliable interface between 3.5 mm mono sources and coaxial inputs without electronic conversion. Its compact form factor saves space and fits easily into crowded setups. Because it is passive, there are no batteries or power supplies to manage, and the adapter introduces minimal circuitry that helps preserve the original signal characteristics for basic audio applications.

Suitable for

• Connecting portable recorders or players with a 3.5 mm mono output to devices with a coax input
• Integrating legacy mono equipment into modern mixers or PA systems
• Simple studio or live audio routing where mono signals are required
• Field recording setups that need a compact passive adapter

Key specifications

• Connector A: 3.5 mm mono plug (male)
• Connector B: coaxial connector (male)
• Signal type: Mono analog audio
• Design: Passive, no power required
• Construction: Compact inline adapter for space-saving use

How to use

Insert the 3.5 mm mono plug into the source device’s headphone or line output, and connect the coaxial end to the target device’s coax input. Ensure connections are seated securely to avoid intermittent contact. Because the adapter is passive, no configuration or power is needed; audio should pass through immediately once connected. Check source and destination levels to prevent overloading the input stage of the receiving equipment.

Recommendations

Use this adapter for short, direct connections between compatible devices. Avoid using the adapter in situations requiring balanced signals, stereo conversion, or impedance matching; for those cases, consider appropriate transformers or active converters. Keep connections dry and free of dust to maintain reliable contact and audio quality.
