The Aerocool Cylon Mini Mini Tower Black is a compact PC case designed for small-form-factor systems, supporting Micro ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards. It measures 186 mm (W) x 373 mm (D) x 381.5 mm (H) and provides space for up to two 3.5" drives and three 2.5" drives/SSDs. The case features a tempered glass side panel, a distinctive front LED backslash with multiple lighting modes, and front I/O that includes USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HD audio and microphone connectors.

Advantages

The front panel offers a unique backslash LED design with 13 lighting modes, including six RGB flow modes and seven solid color modes, allowing visual customization without additional accessories. The tempered glass side panel lets you view internal components, while support for front and rear air cooling ensures efficient airflow. Tool-free maintenance features such as a removable PSU dust filter and a magnetic top dust filter simplify cleaning. Compact dimensions and support for standard 120 mm front fans and a pre-installed 80 mm rear fan make this case suitable for compact builds where space and cooling are important.

Suitable for

  • Compact desktop or home office PC builds
  • Mini-ITX or Micro ATX gaming rigs with modest cooling needs
  • Systems requiring a visible interior via a tempered glass side panel
  • Users who want built-in RGB lighting without extra controllers

Key specifications

  • Form factor: Mini Tower (supports Micro ATX, Mini-ITX)
  • Exterior colour: Black
  • Dimensions: 186 x 373 x 381.5 mm (W x D x H)
  • Drive bays: up to 2 × 3.5" and 3 × 2.5" (HDD/SSD)
  • Pre-installed fans: 1 × 80 mm rear fan (front supports 120 mm fans)
  • Front I/O: 1 × USB 3.0 (USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A), 1 × USB 2.0, HD audio, microphone, power button
  • Side panel: Tempered glass
  • Weight: 3.3 kg

How to use

Install a compatible Mini-ITX or Micro ATX motherboard and mount storage drives in the provided 3.5" and 2.5" bays. Fit 120 mm fans at the front for intake and use the pre-installed 80 mm fan at the rear for exhaust to create proper airflow. Connect front-panel USB and audio cables to the motherboard headers and use the front-panel buttons to control system power and LED effects. Route cables behind the motherboard tray where possible to maintain unobstructed airflow and a tidy interior view through the tempered glass.

Recommendations

For optimal cooling, install at least one 120 mm intake fan at the front and keep the PSU and top dust filters clean; use the built-in LED modes to adjust lighting without adding external controllers.

Eindoordeel: All things considered though, it's £35, and at that price, I'd still be tempted to order these for budget builds. It's not perfect, but by the time you complete your build, tuck it under or down the side of your desk, it's going to look pretty great. A cl...
