Afgeschermde netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75711-A0.5G CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF 0,5m

The Shielded Network Cable ShiverPeaks 75711-A0.5G CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF 0.5m is a short patch cable designed for high-speed Ethernet links up to 10 Gbps over short distances. It features S/FTP construction with an overall braid shield and individually foil-shielded pairs using PIMF (paired insulated metal foil) to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity in structured cabling environments. The cable is halogen-free and intended for LAN connections between switches, servers and network endpoints in offices and data centers.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF design offers robust protection against crosstalk and external EMI, improving transmission stability for CAT 6A performance. Its short 0.5 m length is optimized for patching in dense rack environments and reducing cable clutter. Halogen-free materials lower smoke and toxic gas emission in case of fire, aligning with safety requirements for many installations. The cable’s construction supports reliable 10 Gbps links where short runs are required.

Suitable for

• Patch connections in server racks and network cabinets
• Linking switches to patch panels over short distances
• Connecting servers, storage devices and network appliances
• Structured cabling in office and data center environments

Key specifications

• Cable category: CAT 6A
• Shielding: S/FTP with overall braid and paired insulated metal foil (PIMF)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Data rate support: up to 10 Gbps over short runs
• Conductor/insulation: twisted pairs with individual pair foil insulation
• Material: halogen-free outer jacket
• Color: green

How to use

Connect one RJ45 connector to the network port on a switch, patch panel or device and the other connector to the corresponding port on the paired device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and latching clips secure the connection. Use this 0.5 m patch cable for short, direct links inside racks or between adjacent equipment to minimize excess slack and maintain tidy cable management. Avoid sharp bends near the connectors and keep the cable clear of high-power electrical lines to preserve shield effectiveness.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the ShiverPeaks CAT 6A S/FTP PIMF cable for connections inside racks or between closely spaced devices where 10 Gbps capability is required. Maintain bend radius recommendations typical for CAT 6A cabling, and inspect connectors for damage before installation. When planning structured cabling, combine shielded cables with properly grounded patch panels and equipment chassis to ensure the shielding provides full EMI protection.
