Afvoerveerspiraal Rothenberger 72413, 750 cm lengte, 8 mm diameter

Flexible drain cleaning cable Rothenberger 72413, 750 cm length, 8 mm diameter is designed to clear blockages in household and light-professional drainage systems. The cable reaches deep into drains and sewer bends to remove hair, grease, soap residue and other debris that restrict flow. Constructed for use by hand or with compatible cable feed tools, this 8 mm steel cable balances rigidity and flexibility to navigate typical pipe runs while providing sufficient torque to dislodge common obstructions.

Advantages

The Rothenberger 72413 cable offers a long 7.5 m reach that accesses deep clogs and bends unreachable with shorter rods. With an 8 mm diameter it is thin enough to enter standard domestic pipe diameters while retaining strength to transmit rotation and push force. Its compatibility with standard cable feed tools expands usability for both manual and machine-assisted clearing. The cable's flexible construction reduces the risk of pipe damage compared with rigid tools and simplifies storage and handling.

Suitable for

• Clearing sinks and basin drains
• Unblocking shower and bathtub drains
• Removing hair and soap residue from domestic pipes
• Light professional maintenance in small commercial premises
• Use with standard cable feed tools for enhanced efficiency

Key specifications

• Length: 750 cm
• Diameter: 8 mm
• Material: flexible steel cable construction
• Compatibility: suitable for standard cable feed tools and manual feed
• Application: designed for drains and sewer bends in domestic and light-professional systems

How to use

Insert the cable gradually into the drain while rotating or feeding it forward to locate the obstruction. For manual use, advance the cable by hand or with the handle of a compatible feed tool; for machine-assisted clearing, secure the cable in the cable feed tool according to the tool manufacturer's instructions and operate at recommended speeds. When the cable contacts the blockage, apply steady rotation and gentle push-pull motions to break up or entangle debris, then withdraw the cable while continuing rotation to extract trapped material. Flush the drain with water after clearing to remove remaining residue.

Recommendations

Wear protective gloves and eye protection when operating the cable. Avoid excessive force that could damage pipes; if resistance is unusually high or the obstruction cannot be cleared, consult a professional. After use, clean and dry the cable before storage to reduce corrosion and extend service life.
