Aluminiumband Tesa 56223-00000-01

tesa® Aluminium tape 56223-00000-01 is a self-adhesive aluminium repair tape designed for durable protection and sealing on metal surfaces. The silver tape combines a metal foil carrier with a strong adhesive layer, offering resistance to moisture, oils, ageing and temperature variations. Supplied in a roll of 10 m length and 50 mm width, it provides a professional finish for both indoor and outdoor repair tasks.

Advantages

The aluminium construction gives high tensile strength and dimensional stability, while the pressure-sensitive adhesive ensures immediate and lasting bond to clean metal, plastic and composite surfaces. The tape is water- and oil-resistant and tolerates temperature changes, making it suitable for long-term repairs of heating systems, roofs and gutters.

Suitable for

• Sealing and repairing metal ducts, pipes and joints
• Repairing roofs, gutters and flashings
• Temporary insulation and surface protection during maintenance
• Patching holes and covering seams on metal surfaces

How to use

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, grease or loose particles. Cut the required length of aluminium tape and apply it by pressing firmly along the repair area to ensure full contact of the adhesive with the substrate. For best adhesion, smooth the tape from the centre outwards to remove air pockets. Overlap edges where necessary to create a continuous seal.

Recommendations

Use on clean, dry surfaces and avoid application at temperatures outside the manufacturer’s recommended range. For permanent structural repairs, combine with appropriate mechanical fixes; use this aluminium tape primarily for sealing, protecting and temporary to long-term repairs on metal surfaces.
