AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J3M 10G 3m actieve optische kabel

The AOC CBO SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J3M 10G 3m active optical cable is a factory-terminated SFP+ direct-attach solution that provides 10 Gbps data transfer over a 3 meter optical link. Engineered for compatibility with SFP+ ports, this active optical cable combines fiber performance with the form factor and convenience of a plug-and-play module, offering low power consumption and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with equivalent copper assemblies. It is intended for short-reach interconnects in data center, server and storage environments where reliable, compact cabling is required.

Advantages

This active optical cable supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet with stable signal integrity across the full 3 m span while maintaining low latency and low power usage. The factory-terminated SFP+ connectors ensure straightforward installation without the need for separate transceivers or fiber patching. The optical medium reduces susceptibility to electrical noise and crosstalk, and the thin, flexible cable simplifies cable management in dense racks and switch panels.

Suitable for

• Short-reach interconnects between servers and switches in data centers
• High-speed storage area network links and SAN switching
• Top-of-rack and leaf-spine switch connections within enterprise networks
• Low-latency links for virtualized infrastructure and clustered systems

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Connector form factor: SFP+ dual-ended
• Maximum link length: 3 meters
• Medium: optical fiber with integrated transceivers
• Typical application: short-reach data center and enterprise interconnects

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on networking equipment until the module latches. Ensure both ends are compatible with the host ports and that the devices are powered and configured for 10 Gbps operation. No separate fiber termination or external transceivers are required; the cable is ready for immediate use upon physical installation. For best results, route the cable to avoid tight bends and secure it to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Verify host compatibility with vendor-supported SFP+ AOC modules and check interface settings after installation. Maintain bend radius recommended by the manufacturer, avoid exposing the cable to sharp edges or mechanical stress, and keep connectors free of dust or debris to preserve signal performance.
