AOC SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J15M 10G actieve optische kabel 15m van CBO

The AOC SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J15M 10G Active Optical Cable 15m by CBO is a purpose-built direct-attach fiber link for SFP+ interfaces, extending high-speed 10 Gigabit connections across a 15‑metre span. Designed for use in data centres and enterprise network racks, this active optical cable provides a single fibre assembly that plugs directly into compatible SFP+ ports, eliminating the need for separate transceiver modules. The cable is intended to deliver stable low-latency performance while reducing susceptibility to electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives.

Advantages

The AOC design offers an integrated, lightweight solution that simplifies installation and reduces rack-side clutter by combining transceiver electronics and fibre in a single assembly. Its optical transmission enables longer reach and immunity to electrical noise, and the 10G data rate supports demanding server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections. The pre-terminated nature of the cable lowers deployment time and helps maintain consistent link quality across multiple ports.

Suitable for

• High-speed links between SFP+ ports in switches and routers
• Server-to-switch connectivity in enterprise and colocation racks
• Top-of-rack (ToR) and aggregation layer installations
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP+ compatible active optical cable
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit per second
• Length: 15 metres
• Cable type: Active optical fibre assembly with integrated transceiver electronics
• Latency: Low-latency optical transmission suitable for networking equipment
• Connector: SFP+ form-factor plugs on both ends for direct port insertion

How to use

Insert each SFP+ plug into the corresponding 10G SFP+ port on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered and configured to enable the SFP+ ports; the link should be recognised by standard network management interfaces. No separate transceiver installation is required, but verify compatibility with your switch or server vendor’s SFP+ port specifications and firmware where applicable. Route the 15m cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; secure with cable ties or management panels as needed.

Recommendations

Confirm compatibility with your hardware vendor’s supported SFP+ modules list and check firmware compatibility before large-scale deployment. Maintain minimum bend radius and protect connectors from dust when not in use. Use in temperature-controlled rack environments for optimal reliability.
