The ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG is a 31.5-inch (viewable) 4K TrueBlack Glossy WOLED gaming monitor with 3840 x 2160 resolution, an ultra-fast 0.03 ms gray-to-gray response time, and a high contrast ratio. It supports a dual-mode refresh configuration for high-resolution and high-frame-rate use, incorporates ASUS OLED Care Pro with the Neo Proximity Sensor to reduce burn-in risk, and provides extensive connectivity including DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC), HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 15 W Power Delivery. The compact stand minimizes desk footprint and the panel meets VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black and wide color gamut standards for accurate HDR color reproduction.

Advantages

The monitor combines WOLED TrueBlack Glossy technology for deep blacks and sharp imagery with an extremely fast 0.03 ms response time for reduced motion blur. Dual-mode operation enables switching between high-resolution 4K operation and very high refresh-rate FHD for competitive gaming. Built-in features such as Neo Proximity Sensor and OLED Care Pro help protect the panel from burn-in, while DisplayHDR 400 True Black compliance, 99% DCI-P3 coverage and true 10-bit color ensure reliable color performance for multimedia and content work. A variety of modern inputs and USB-C with power delivery simplify connectivity with PCs and peripherals.

Suitable for

PC gaming at both high-resolution and high-frame-rate modes
Photo and video editing that requires wide color gamut and HDR support
Multimedia consumption and general desktop productivity
Users who need multiple input types and USB-C connectivity

How to use

Connect the monitor to your source using DisplayPort, HDMI or USB-C depending on your desired resolution and refresh-rate configuration. Use DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC) or HDMI 2.1 for 4K at high refresh rates; switch to the FHD high-refresh mode via the on-screen menu or monitor software when prioritizing maximum frame rates. Adjust color, HDR and OLED Care Pro functions through the OSD or DisplayWidget Center on your PC. Position the Neo Proximity Sensor to allow the monitor to detect when you step away so it can automatically switch to a black screen to reduce burn-in risk.

Recommendations

For prolonged use with static content, enable OLED Care Pro features and the Neo Proximity Sensor; avoid leaving static images on the screen for extended periods. Use the appropriate input (DP/HDMI/USB-C) to match the required resolution and refresh rate, and enable adaptive sync to reduce tearing during gaming.

Eindoordeel: It's great to see a glossy WOLED monitor released in the popular 32″ segment, and now we have options available from Asus for both 27″ 1440p and 32″ 4K displays. The new TrueBlack glossy coating is great, removing the minor grain from the old gen 1 glossy...

Pluspunten

TrueBlack glossy coating provides an excellent picture and is better than earlier glossy OLED coatings
Dual-mode function unique to WOLED panels and useful in some gaming situations
Wide range of features still included and not dropped even though it's

Minpunten

ELMB activation and configuration is fiddly
Manual adjustments in SDR and HDR modes for RGB channels not remembered independently at the moment
HDR accuracy could be improved to avoid over-brightening
