ATEN 2-poorts DVI audio/video-splitter

The ATEN DVI Audio/Video Splitter ATEN VS-162 duplicates and boosts DVI video and audio input signals to two identical DVI outputs. The compact metal unit supports connection of two DVI‑I displays and delivers up to 1920 x 1200 resolution per output. It is designed for environments that require reliable signal distribution such as classrooms, broadcasting setups, presentations, and multi‑display workstations.

Advantages

The VS-162 offers duplicated DVI and audio outputs with signal boosting to maintain image quality across two displays. Its compact metal housing provides durability while keeping power consumption low (approximately 2.36 W) and it operates from a 5.3 V AC input. The unit supports DVI connections and is supplied in a silver and black finish, making it suitable for professional AV installations.

Suitable for

• Classrooms and lecture halls
• Meeting rooms and presentation setups
• Retail displays and digital signage

How to use

Connect the DVI and audio source to the splitter's input, then connect up to two DVI‑I displays to the output ports. Power the unit using the specified 5.3 V AC input. Once connected and powered, the VS-162 will duplicate the input signal to both outputs with boosted signal strength to preserve image and audio quality. Adjust display settings on the connected monitors if required to match resolution and scaling.

Recommendations

For best results use high-quality DVI cables and ensure connected displays support the target resolution (up to 1920 x 1200). Avoid excessively long cable runs to minimize signal loss; if longer distances are required, consider additional signal amplification or active cabling solutions.
