AV-transmitter Lindy 500m Cat.6 Phono analoge audio-extender

The Lindy 500m Cat.6 Phono Analogue Audio Extender is a compact AV transmitter designed to extend stereo analogue audio signals over standard network cabling. The pigtail-style transceiver units require no external power and can be installed next to source devices and analogue speakers to carry audio over a long reach while maintaining signal integrity.

Advantages

This audio extender uses Cat5/Cat6 network cable to transmit stereo phono signals up to extended distances with minimal signal loss and interference. Its compact, pigtail form factor allows discreet placement and easy integration into professional AV environments. The transceiver units are interoperable, so either unit can be used at either end of the link without configuration.

Suitable for

• Extending analogue stereo audio between rooms or distant equipment
• Professional AV installations in venues, conference rooms or studios
• Connecting turntables, CD players or analogue audio sources to remote amplifiers or speakers

How to use

Connect the phono (RCA) outputs of the analogue source to the phono inputs on one transceiver unit, then connect the phono outputs of the opposite unit to the destination amplifier or speakers. Run a straight Cat5 or Cat6 cable between the two units. No external power supply is required; fit the compact pigtail units close to the source and destination equipment for a tidy installation.

Recommendations

For best performance, use good quality shielded Cat6 cable for runs close to the maximum length and avoid routing the cable alongside high-voltage power lines to minimise interference. Verify phono connections and level settings on source and destination devices to ensure optimal audio reproduction.
