Box FRITZ! 4060 WLAN-router Gigabit Ethernet tri-band (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz / 5 GHz) wit

The FRITZ!Box 4060 Tri-band Wi-Fi 6 tabletop router provides tri-band wireless connectivity (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz / 5 GHz) using the Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard. Designed for home and small-office environments, it supports up to 2400 Mbit/s WLAN throughput, four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and a 2.5 Gbit/s-capable Ethernet interface to accommodate higher wired speeds. The router includes a USB port and supports 4x4 data streams to optimise simultaneous connections and device density while maintaining network stability and performance.

Advantages

The FRITZ!Box 4060 combines tri-band operation and Wi‑Fi 6 technology to reduce congestion and improve throughput for multiple devices. Hardware support for 4x4 streams increases wireless capacity for demanding applications such as high-definition streaming and video conferencing. Integrated Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and a higher-speed Ethernet interface provide flexible wired connections for desktop PCs, NAS devices or media players. Security is handled with modern WPA2 and WPA3 encryption algorithms to protect wireless traffic.

Suitable for

• Homes with multiple wireless devices and smart home equipment
• Small offices requiring stable Wi‑Fi for video calls and cloud services
• Streaming 4K or HD media to several devices simultaneously
• Gaming setups needing low-latency wireless and wired connections
• Connecting wired network devices via Gigabit and 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet

How to use

Place the FRITZ!Box 4060 on a stable surface in a central location to maximise wireless coverage. Connect the Internet uplink (DSL, modem or WAN) to the appropriate WAN interface and power up the device. Use the web-based FRITZ!OS interface or the FRITZ!App to perform initial setup, configure network names (SSIDs) for each band, set passwords and enable WPA3 where supported. Attach wired devices to the Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports or use the 2.5 Gbit/s-capable port for high-throughput devices. Connect external storage or printers to the USB port and enable file sharing or print services via the router’s settings.

Recommendations

For best performance, enable Wi‑Fi 6 features on compatible client devices, place the router away from large metal objects and other wireless equipment that may cause interference, and use the higher-speed Ethernet port for devices that require sustained high data rates. Keep router firmware updated through the FRITZ!OS update mechanism to maintain security and compatibility.
