Powerline-adapter AVM FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX 1200 Mbit/s Ethernet LAN Wi‑Fi wit

FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX combines powerline networking with Wi‑Fi 6 to extend high-speed internet access across your home using the existing electrical wiring. The adapter provides up to 1,200 Mbit/s over the powerline and supports Wi‑Fi 6 in the 2.4 GHz band with up to 600 Mbit/s, while a gigabit Ethernet port enables wired connections for PCs, smart TVs and game consoles.

Advantages

The device delivers fast data transfer over electrical wiring without additional cabling, supports Mesh Wi‑Fi for seamless roaming and offers straightforward setup via plug-and-play with secure button pairing. 2x2 MIMO uses two transmitters and receivers across the power lines to increase throughput, making the adapter suitable for HD streaming and online gaming.

Suitable for

• Extending home network coverage to rooms without Ethernet wiring
• Connecting smart TV, PC or game console via gigabit LAN
• Improving Wi‑Fi reception in distant rooms or outbuildings
• Creating a Mesh Wi‑Fi system together with other FRITZ! devices

For Mesh operation, add the adapter to an existing FRITZ! Mesh network so wireless devices roam seamlessly between access points.

Recommendations

Place the adapter in a wall socket that is directly connected to the room’s wiring (avoid multi‑way extension cords or surge protectors) and pair units in the same electrical circuit for best throughput. Use the gigabit LAN for devices requiring stable wired connections and enable Mesh via FRITZ!OS for consistent Wi‑Fi coverage throughout the home.
