BD-R XL MediaRange MR520 100GB 4X - Blu-ray-mediadrager, single-layer XL-capaciteit

MediaRange BD-R XL MR520 is a 100GB single-layer Blu-ray recordable disc with 4X write speed, designed for high-capacity data backup, archiving large media files and long-duration video recording. The BD-R XL format extends the storage capacity of a single disc compared with standard BD-R discs, allowing more files or longer recordings to be stored without disc changes. The disc is compatible with BD-R XL capable drives and recorders that support 100GB single-layer writable media.

Advantages

The MediaRange BD-R XL MR520 provides a high-capacity optical storage option with a stable write speed of up to 4X for faster recording sessions compared to lower-speed media. With a single-layer 100GB capacity, it reduces the need for multiple discs when archiving large collections of photos, video footage or data sets. The format is suitable for offline storage and long-term archival when used with proper handling and storage conditions.

Suitable for

• Archiving full-length video projects and long-duration recordings
• Backing up large data sets, system images and project archives
• Storing high-resolution photos, RAW files and multimedia libraries
• Transporting large amounts of data without relying on network transfers

How to use

Insert the MediaRange BD-R XL MR520 into a compatible BD-R XL drive or recorder. Use disc burning or backup software that recognises BD-R XL single-layer 100GB media, configure the project settings or backup image size, and initiate the write process at the supported 4X speed or lower. Verify the recorded data using the software verification option if available, and finalise the disc according to your software if the session is open. Handle the disc by the edges and store it vertically in a protective case after recording.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term storage, allow the disc to cool after writing, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, and store in a dry, dust-free environment. Verify compatibility with your drive firmware and burning software before use, and consider creating redundant copies for critical data.
