Bedrade barcodescanner Safescan 310-W model 140-0746 — 1D & 2D, werkbereik 5–30 cm

Safescan 310-W is a wired barcode scanner designed to read both 1D and 2D codes with a working range of 5–30 cm. Intended for retail, inventory management and point-of-sale environments, it connects to a host system to capture barcode data quickly and reliably. The scanner supports rapid decoding of common barcode formats to reduce manual entry errors and accelerate checkout and stock-taking processes.

Advantages

The scanner offers stable wired connectivity for continuous operation and predictable response times. Its ability to read both linear (1D) and matrix (2D) barcodes from short distances makes it suitable for mixed-code environments. Compact housing and straightforward plug-and-play setup simplify integration at checkout counters and workstations, while fast decoding improves throughput and reduces waiting times.

How to use

Connect the Safescan 310-W to your host device using the supplied cable and ensure the system recognizes the scanner. Position the scanner so the barcode is within a 5–30 cm range and aim the scanning window at the code. Press the trigger or use continuous-scan mode if available to capture the barcode; decoded data will transmit to the connected application for processing. For best results, align the barcode within the scan field and maintain steady movement during reads.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use the scanner within the specified 5–30 cm working range, keep the scan window clean of dust and debris, and ensure barcodes are legible and not heavily damaged. Place the scanner on a stable surface or mount in an included stand for frequent point-of-sale scanning to reduce user fatigue and improve throughput.
