BenQ LU935ST short throw-projector 5500 ANSI lumen DLP WUXGA (1920x1200) zwart

Vivid clarity in bright ambient environments with powerful 5500 lumen projection
For simulators with larger impact screens, you need a brighter projector to ensure your picture doesn’t get washed out. And golf simulators require more light for the tracking cameras to photograph and analyze hits, with the main consequence being that projectors built for golfing simulators need to put out a lot of brightness. The LU935ST’s 5500 lumens provide users bright projection that fills a typical 13 foot or wider impact screen while delivering excellent image quality.

16:10 WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution with HDR enabled
Beyond higher resolution that exceeds full HD 1080p, WUXGA (1920x1200) provides a taller 16:10 display, an aspect ratio that offers users more room to swing. HDR10 support with BenQ’s exclusive Auto HDR Color Rendition means the LU935T’s high dynamic range performance offers greater brightness, contrast, and image optimization.

Amazing color accuracy in golf mode
In some laser projectors, color aberration can cause excess blues and purples where they are not meant to be. To prevent this issue, BenQ teamed up with color experts to develop an exclusive Golf Mode. Easily activated in settings, Golf Mode corrects purple fringing using the blue and green colors from popular golf software and allows golfers to immerse themselves in pleasantly natural reproductions of blue skies and green grass.

Cinema-level color gamut with 92% REC709 coverage
The LU935ST’s powerful laser projection utilizes a dual color wheel system that covers an unparalleled 92% of Rec.709, the industry-wide standard for color reproduction in HD video and movies. Enjoy golf, movies, and games in perfect color, knowing that what you’re seeing on screen is exactly what the director intended. In addition, the increased color ratios and pure laser-generated RGBY hues dramatically enhance color saturation and guarantee superior projected image quality compared to lamp projectors.

Placement outside hit zone plus no shadows with 0.81-0.89 throw ratio
For most golf simulation setups, a short throw projector helps you put the projector where it is needed to fill the screen while being mounted safely outside the hitting area and without casting a shadow. With throw ratios ranging from 0.81 to 0.89, the LU935ST projects a 177” (7.7x13ft)-236”(10x18ft) image when placed within just 10-16 feet from the screen, delivering a large picture without the expense of optional lenses.

Off center placement made possible with vertical and horizontal lens shift
Lens shift greatly enhances installation flexibility, enabling you to easily adjust the image to fill your screen even if the projector is placed off-center. The LU935ST’s lens shift feature can be used to properly align the image, shifting it up to 60% vertically and 23% horizontally relative to the dimensions of the screen, enabling you to mount your projector higher and to the side of the playing area if needed.

Ideal projection alignment with 2D keystone and corner fit
To counteract the trapezoid effect that can occur when a projector is installed or placed off-center, the LU935ST offers a 2D keystone correction range of up to ±30° on both the horizontal and vertical axes. Corner Fit control adjusts each corner for perfectly aligned image geometry.

HDMI 2.0 for supreme image quality
The LU935ST features HDMI 2.0 ports with full support for 4K 60Hz and HDR content, enhanced by greater brightness and contrast for experiences far superior to older versions of HDMI and standard dynamic range projection.

Maintenance free performance with laser technology
BenQ laser projectors eliminate the hassle and cost of installing replacement lamps while providing long lasting 20,000-hour light source life and beautiful colors. You can also start projecting right away without waiting for a lamp to warm up. Every BenQ laser projector has an IP5X-rated, dustproof sealed laser engine that eliminates the need for filters, perfect for environments such as a garage or basement. This also saves you money in the long run.

How to use

Mount the LU935ST at a short distance from the impact screen (typically 10–16 ft) to achieve the desired image size within the 0.81–0.89 throw ratio. Use the vertical and horizontal lens shift to align the image without moving the projector, then apply 2D keystone correction and Corner Fit for precise geometry. Enable Golf Mode in the picture settings to correct purple fringing and optimize colors for golf simulation software. Connect video sources through HDMI 2.0 for best image quality; the projector also supports HDR10 content when available.

Recommendations

Place the projector outside the hitting area and keep it at the recommended distance to avoid shadows and ensure reliable camera tracking; regular checks of lens alignment and software-specific color settings (Golf Mode) will sustain accurate image reproduction.
