Beveiligingscamera DAHUA IPC-HDW3549H-AS-PV-0280B-S5-zwart IP-camera

The DAHUA IPC-HDW3549H-AS-PV-0280B-S5-BLACK IP CAMERA is a 4MP surveillance camera designed for reliable security monitoring in both indoor and outdoor environments. It combines 4 megapixel resolution with H.265 video compression and wide dynamic range to capture clear, detailed footage in varied lighting conditions. Starlight low-light technology enhances sensitivity for improved nighttime imaging, while a fixed 2.8mm lens provides a broad field of view for general area coverage. Power over Ethernet (PoE) support simplifies installation by delivering power and network connectivity over a single cable.

Advantages

The camera delivers high-resolution 4MP video with efficient H.265 encoding to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements without sacrificing image quality. Wide dynamic range (WDR) helps preserve detail in scenes with mixed lighting, and Starlight technology improves performance in low-light or night conditions. The 2.8mm lens offers a wide coverage angle suitable for monitoring larger areas, while PoE compatibility streamlines setup and reduces cabling. The housing and build are intended for both indoor and outdoor use, providing a durable option for continuous surveillance.

Suitable for

• Monitoring retail spaces, lobbies and corridors
• Perimeter and exterior area surveillance
• Office and warehouse security
• Multi-camera systems requiring efficient compression and networked power

Key specifications

• Image sensor: 4 megapixel resolution
• Video compression: H.265 (with backward compatibility)
• Low-light performance: Starlight technology for enhanced night imaging
• Dynamic range: Wide dynamic range (WDR) for balanced exposure
• Lens: Fixed 2.8mm wide-angle lens
• Power: Power over Ethernet (PoE) support
• Mounting: Indoor and outdoor-ready housing

How to use

Mount the camera at a suitable height and angle to cover the intended area, ensuring the lens faces the target field of view. Connect the camera to your network switch or PoE injector using a CAT5e/CAT6 Ethernet cable to provide both data and power. Configure the camera through the Dahua-compatible management software or a supported NVR, set appropriate exposure and WDR settings for the scene, and enable desired recording modes and compression profiles. Verify camera alignment and focus on the live feed, and adjust image settings to optimize clarity in day and night conditions.

Recommendations

For best results, place the camera to minimize direct sunlight or strong backlighting in the frame, and use WDR settings where contrasting light is present. When installing outdoors, ensure proper sealing of cable entries and use weatherproof connectors if extended external runs are required. Regularly check firmware updates and backup important footage to a network video recorder or secure storage to maintain continuous monitoring and data integrity.
