Beveiligingscamera Hikvision DS-2CD2743G2-LIZS2U 2,8–12 mm

The Hikvision DS-2CD2743G2-LIZS2U 2.8-12mm is a 4MP network surveillance camera designed for reliable indoor and outdoor monitoring. Equipped with a motorized varifocal 2.8–12mm lens, the camera provides flexible field-of-view adjustment to capture wide scenes or zoom in on details. It records high-resolution video with efficient H.265+ compression and includes IR illumination and motion detection to maintain coverage in low light and active environments. The housing is weather-resistant for continuous operation in exposed locations.

Advantages

The camera delivers clear 4MP imagery suitable for identification and situational awareness while minimizing storage and bandwidth requirements through H.265+ encoding. The motorized 2.8–12mm lens enables remote focal adjustment without physical access, simplifying installation and scene framing. Built-in IR night vision extends effective monitoring after dark, and the weatherproof enclosure supports outdoor deployment in varying conditions.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and parking lot surveillance
• Retail and commercial space monitoring
• Entranceways and building access control
• Warehouse and loading area observation
• General indoor and outdoor security coverage

Key specifications

• Image sensor and resolution: 4MP network camera
• Lens: motorized varifocal 2.8–12 mm for adjustable field of view
• Video compression: H.265+ for reduced storage and bandwidth
• Low-light performance: IR illumination for night vision
• Motion detection: on-device analytics for event triggering
• Weather resistance: outdoor-rated housing for all-weather use
• Power options: supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) for simplified cabling

How to use

Install the camera at a mounting point that provides the intended coverage and ensures a stable network connection. Use the motorized zoom to set the focal length between 2.8 and 12 mm to achieve the desired balance between field of view and detail. Configure video stream parameters and H.265+ compression via the camera's web interface or compatible NVR to optimize image quality and storage. Enable motion detection and adjust sensitivity and detection zones to reduce false alarms. Verify IR operation for nighttime coverage and confirm the housing sealing if mounted outdoors.

Recommendations

For best results, power the camera via PoE to combine data and power over a single cable, position the camera 2.5–6 meters above ground for general surveillance, and test different focal settings during installation to ensure faces and license plates (if required) are legible at the chosen distance. Regularly check firmware updates from the manufacturer to maintain security and performance.
