Beveiligingsslot-adapterkit Ultrabook KENSINGTON K64995WW

The Kensington Security Slot Adapter provides a slim security solution for Ultrabook™ and MacBook Air® laptops and other ultra-thin devices that lack a built-in Kensington security slot. The adapter installs using the included industrial-strength adhesive, creating a secure anchor point that allows use of a compatible laptop lock (lock sold separately) to help protect your device from theft.

Advantages

The adapter is specifically designed for devices without a preinstalled K-slot, offering a low-profile and visually unobtrusive attachment. It is compatible with Ultrabook and MacBook Air models as well as many tablets and other peripherals. Installation requires only the supplied tape and glue, and once attached it works with standard Kensington-style locks to secure the device.

Key specifications

• Compatibility: Ultrabook® and MacBook® laptops and many tablets
• Adapter diameter: 1.5 in (40 mm)
• Package contents: security slot adapter, tape, glue
• Lock: sold separately (works with Kensington-style locks)

How to use

Clean and dry the desired mounting area on the back or side of the device, then apply the supplied industrial-strength adhesive or tape to the adapter. Press the adapter firmly onto the device and allow the adhesive to cure according to the glue manufacturer’s instructions. After the adapter is securely bonded, insert a compatible Kensington-style lock into the adapter to secure the laptop or tablet.

Recommendations

For best results, attach the adapter to a flat, non-porous surface and allow full curing time before applying tension with a lock. Verify compatibility of your chosen lock with the 1.5 in (40 mm) adapter diameter.
