BlueOptics 10GB-F10-SFPP-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 10 m SFP+ SFP+ AOC oranje

The BlueOptics 10GB-F10-SFPP-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 10 m active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors on both ends. Designed for 10GBASE-SR multimode transmission, this pre-assembled SFP+ to SFP+ cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules in each plug and follows MSA SFP+ specifications to ensure mechanical and electrical interoperability with compatible network hardware. The cable is intended for use in rack environments and data centers where low-latency, high-throughput links between switches, servers, storage systems and other SFP+-equipped devices are required.

Advantages

The AOC construction eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patchcords, reducing connector loss and simplifying installation. Compliance with MSA SFP+ mechanical and electrical standards and support for Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM) allow remote monitoring of optical parameters such as supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit output power, receive input power and temperature when the host hardware supports these features. Built from industry-grade optical and electronic components, the cable is specified for long operational life and stable 10 Gbps transmission over multimode fiber.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting SFP+-equipped switches and routers in data centers
• Server-to-switch and storage-to-switch links in high-performance computing
• Short-range 10G Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) connections
• Environments where low latency and electromagnetic immunity are required

Key specifications

• Length: 10 meters
• Interface: SFP+ to SFP+
• Data rate: up to 10 Gbps
• Transmission type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) for multimode fiber, 10GBASE-SR
• Supports Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM) per SFF-8472 when the host supports it
• Designed for rack and data center use with low latency and EMI immunity

How to use

Install the BlueOptics 10 m SFP+ AOC by inserting each SFP+ module into the SFP+ port of the communicating devices until the latch engages. Ensure both devices support 10GBASE-SR and, if monitoring is required, that the host hardware supports DDM/DOM. No additional transceivers, patch panels or fiber cleaning are necessary because the cable arrives pre-terminated and factory-tested. After insertion, verify link status on both devices and check diagnostics via the management interface if available.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Use AOCs for short-range multimode links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Confirm compatibility with the target hardware platform and, for critical installations, request a test sample or validate operation in a lab before large-scale deployment.
