AOC actieve optische kabel CBO SFP-AOC-10G-10M 10m — SFP+ 10G directe aansluiting-AOC, 10 meter

AOC CBO SFP-AOC-10G-10M is a 10-metre active optical cable with SFP+ direct-attach termination engineered for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. The cable provides a factory-terminated optical connection between SFP+ ports, eliminating the need for separate transceivers. It is designed for use in data centers, server rooms and enterprise network racks where reliable mid-range connectivity, low latency and reduced electromagnetic interference are required.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers a compact, plug-and-play SFP+ connection that simplifies cabling and reduces installation time compared with separate transceiver and fiber assemblies. Because the optical link is factory-terminated, it delivers consistent signal quality and low latency for 10 Gigabit Ethernet traffic. The optical medium reduces susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and removes electrical isolation concerns across rack-to-rack or within-rack links at distances up to 10 metres.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches and servers
• Interconnects in data center top-of-rack and middle-of-row deployments
• Direct attach links for storage arrays and hyperconverged infrastructure
• Environments requiring reduced EMI or electrical isolation

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ direct-attach active optical cable
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Length: 10 metres
• Optical medium: Active optical fiber assembly
• Latency: low, suitable for server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links
• Compatibility: SFP+ ports supporting 10G optical direct-attach modules

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your network devices until the connectors latch. Ensure both devices support SFP+ 10G direct-attach optical modules and are powered off or hot-plug capable according to the vendor’s guidelines. After insertion, verify link status and speed in the device management interface. For best results, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. No additional transceivers or fiber termination are required.

Recommendations

Use the cable in equipment racks and short interconnects where 10 m distance meets topology needs; avoid tight bends, exposure to mechanical stress and environments outside the specified operating temperature ranges of the connected devices. Verify switch and server vendor compatibility lists if the network equipment enforces vendor lock or module validation.
