AOC-kabel CBO 40G-QSFP-QSFP-AOC-0501-BO 5 m QSFP-stekker oranje 40 Gbit/s

The AOC cable CBO 40G-QSFP-QSFP-AOC-0501-BO is a 5 m active optical cable with QSFP male connectors at both ends, designed to deliver an aggregated bandwidth of 40 Gbit/s. Finished in orange and intended for short-reach, high-speed interconnects, this QSFP-to-QSFP link suits modern data center and enterprise network topologies where compact, low-power connections between switches, routers and servers are required. The cable integrates optical transceivers into a single, factory-terminated assembly to simplify installation and reduce the need for separate transceiver modules.

Advantages

This 5 m active optical cable offers high aggregated throughput of 40 Gbit/s while maintaining low latency and reduced power consumption compared with some electrical interconnects. Its integrated QSFP male connectors provide plug-and-play compatibility with equipment that supports QSFP interfaces, enabling rapid deployment without additional module handling. The orange jacket provides visual identification for high-speed links and the all-in-one design reduces rack space and cable management complexity.

Key specifications

How to use

Insert each QSFP male connector into the corresponding QSFP port on network devices, ensuring that latches or retention clips engage fully. No separate transceiver modules are required; the cable is ready for immediate use after physical connection. Verify that connected devices are configured to use 40 Gbit/s links and check link status indicators or management interfaces for proper negotiation. Avoid excessive bending and stress on the cable near the connector ends during installation.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short-reach connections where 40 Gbit/s aggregated bandwidth is required and equipment supports QSFP interfaces. Maintain manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius, keep connectors free of dust, and store unused ends in protective caps when not connected. For reliable operation, confirm compatibility with your network equipment's QSFP port and firmware support.
