BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-LC-10M-BO aqua InfiniBand glasvezelkabel 10m OM3 LC SC full-duplex

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-LC-10M-BO Aqua InfiniBand Fibre Optic Cable is a 10-meter multimode OM3 patch cable with LC (UPC) to SC (UPC) connectors configured for full duplex transmission. Designed for high-speed optical links, the cable is suitable for InfiniBand and other data centre or network interconnect applications where low attenuation and reliable connector performance are required. The BlueOptics cable uses laser-optimized OM3 fibre and a flame-retardant LSZH sheath for installations where low smoke and halogen-free behaviour are needed.

Advantages

This OM3 LC–SC patch cable delivers low insertion loss and high return loss values, supporting stable high-bandwidth transmission over short to medium distances. Connectors employ zirconia ceramic ferrules for long-term durability and consistent optical alignment, and components are sourced from established fiber and connector manufacturers to ensure reliable performance. Each cable is factory-tested with interferometer and OTDR measurements and supplied with an insertion loss and return loss protocol.

How to use

Route the 10 m BlueOptics OM3 patch cable between the two desired ports, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust before mating. Align the LC and SC connectors with the corresponding ports and insert until a secure connection is made; for duplex operation confirm polarity is correct for transmit/receive pairs. Avoid tight bends—observe the specified minimum bend radius for multimode OM3 fibre—and secure the cable to rack or cable management hardware to prevent strain on the connectors during operation.

Recommendations

Before connecting, inspect and, if necessary, clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools. Use cable management to prevent microbends and maintain the recommended bend radius. For critical links, verify insertion loss and return loss after installation and keep spare connectors or dust caps available when cables are disconnected.
