BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-7,5-M-BO glasvezelkabel aqua 7,5 m OM3 SC SC

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-SC-SC-7.5M-BO is a 7.5 metre multi-mode OM3 fibre optic patch cable with SC/UPC connectors at both ends. Designed for full duplex optical links, this cable is intended for short- to medium-distance connections in data centres, server rooms and structured networks. The cable uses laser-optimized OM3 multimode fibre to support high bandwidths and offers low attenuation and high return loss values. The outer jacket is low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) for reduced smoke and no halogen release in case of fire.

Advantages

The cable provides consistent optical performance with low input loss and high return loss, verified by interferometer and OTDR testing. Components include zirconia ceramic ferrules and branded multimode fibre for reliable mating cycles and stable signal transmission. The SC/UPC connectors are compatible with common transceivers and patch panels, and the LSZH jacket meets stricter safety requirements for indoor installations.

How to use

Ensure both ends are clean before insertion; use an appropriate fibre inspection tool to check SC/UPC connector endfaces. Gently insert each SC connector into the corresponding SC receptacle until the latch engages; for duplex connections, maintain correct polarity. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable to rack management systems to prevent strain. If relocating equipment, disconnect by pressing the SC latch and pulling straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable following standard fibre care: keep dust caps on unused connectors, clean connectors with approved fibre cleaning tools, and maintain bend radius limits specified for OM3 multimode fibre. For installations in enclosed or public spaces, the LSZH jacket reduces the risk associated with smoke and halogen emissions. Request the provided measurement protocol to verify insertion loss and return loss for mission-critical links.
