CBO InfiniBand actieve optische kabel QSFP-AOC-20M-CN-BO — 20 m, QSFP naar QSFP

CBO QSFP-AOC-20M-CN-BO is a 20-metre InfiniBand active optical cable with QSFP connectors at both ends, designed for high-speed server, switch and storage interconnects. The cable provides a long-reach optical link without separate transceivers, offering low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference. It is intended for data center and high-performance computing environments where reliable, high-bandwidth links are required between racks or within the same rack.

Advantages

The active optical construction delivers consistent signal quality over 20 metres while reducing power and space requirements compared with discrete transceiver plus fiber assemblies. Direct QSFP-to-QSFP connectivity simplifies installation and reduces points of failure. Optical transmission eliminates susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving link stability in dense cabling environments. The integrated design reduces rack complexity and can lower total cost of ownership for short- to medium-reach interconnects.

Suitable for

• Inter-rack and intra-rack connections in data centers
• High-performance computing clusters and InfiniBand fabrics
• Switch-to-switch and switch-to-server high‑bandwidth links
• Storage systems requiring low-latency optical connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP to QSFP
• Media: active optical cable
• Length: 20 metres
• Application: InfiniBand high-speed interconnects
• Signal characteristics: low latency, optical transmission (immune to EMI)

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP port on the network devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-plug guidelines of the equipment manufacturer if applicable. Verify link status through the device management interface and confirm appropriate data rates and link training. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the specified bend radius recommended for active optical assemblies.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile load; support the cable along rack paths and keep it clear of moving components. Use this 20 m QSFP active optical cable for short- to medium-reach connections where low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference are priorities. Check device firmware and compatibility notes for QSFP port requirements to ensure full performance.
