CBO SFP+ actieve optische kabel Coriant SFP-AOC-10G-20M 10Gbit/s 20m

CBO Coriant SFP-AOC-10G-20M is an SFP+ active optical cable that provides 10Gbps full-duplex data transfer across a 20-meter duplex fiber link. Designed for direct connection between SFP+ ports on switches, servers and storage devices, this AOC is a hot-pluggable, factory-terminated solution that removes the need for separate transceiver modules and external fiber patch cords. The cable is intended for short-reach, high-bandwidth interconnects typical in data center and enterprise network environments.

Advantages

The active optical construction delivers stable 10Gbps performance with low power consumption and consistent signal integrity over the full 20m length. Plug-and-play compatibility with standard SFP+ ports simplifies installation and reduces cabling complexity. Factory-terminated duplex fiber and reinforced cable housing improve mechanical reliability and reduce the risk of connector-related signal loss. The integrated design also reduces rack density and airflow impact compared with separate transceivers and patch panels.

Suitable for

• 10Gbps uplinks between switches and aggregation panels
• Server-to-switch or server-to-server interconnects in racks
• Storage area network (SAN) connections requiring short-reach optical links
• High-density data center top-of-rack and end-of-row deployments

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ form factor, duplex optical link
• Data rate: 10 Gigabits per second (10Gbps) full duplex
• Length: 20 metres optical cable
• Media type: Active optical cable with duplex fiber
• Connector style: Factory-terminated SFP+ ends for direct insertion into SFP+ ports
• Power: Low-power AOC design suitable for typical SFP+ power budgets
• Operating environment: Designed for indoor data center cabling and telecom rooms

How to use

Verify that both devices have compatible SFP+ ports and support AOC connections. With devices powered on or off (hot-pluggable), insert each SFP+ end into the corresponding SFP+ cage until it latches. Ensure the cable routing avoids sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer. After insertion, confirm link status and negotiate speed/duplex via your network equipment management interface. If link does not establish, check port settings, firmware compatibility, and ensure the cable is fully seated.

Recommendations

Use the CBO Coriant SFP-AOC-10G-20M for short-reach 10Gbps connections within racks or between adjacent rows. Avoid outdoor exposure and direct mechanical stress. Keep firmware and switch vendor compatibility in mind; verify compatibility lists when deploying in mixed-vendor environments to ensure link stability and feature support.
