BlueOptics H-SFP+AOC15M-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 15 m aqua

The BlueOptics H-SFP+AOC15M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15 m Aqua is a 15-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ to SFP+ connectors designed for high-speed data transmission over multimode fibre. The cable implements sender and receiver modules at each end and conforms to SFP+ interface standards to provide a compact, low-latency connection between compatible network devices. Its aqua jacket color and 15 m length make it suitable for medium-range interconnects in data centres and high-performance computing racks.

Advantages

This AOC provides a factory-terminated SFP+ to SFP+ solution that avoids field termination and simplifies installation. The integrated optical transceivers reduce power consumption and electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives, while supporting up to 10 Gbit/s links over multimode fibre. The single-cable assembly ensures consistent optical performance across the full 15 m length and maintains compatibility with devices that accept SFP+ AOC modules.

How to use

Ensure both devices have available SFP+ ports that accept AOC modules. With equipment powered on or off according to your site policy, align and insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding port until the latch clicks. Verify link status on the connected devices and confirm negotiated link speed and status via management interfaces. For best results, avoid tight bends and protect the cable from crushing; maintain the recommended bend radius for multimode fibre assemblies.

Recommendations

Use this AOC in controlled data centre environments and within the 15 m maximum length. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ AOC modules and ensure firmware or vendor compatibility if required. For routing, switching or storage applications, monitor link health and replace the cable if physical damage or persistent link issues occur.
