BlueOptics InfiniBand/glasvezel AOC-kabel QSFP56–QSFP56 15 m cyaan

BlueOptics InfiniBand/fibre optic AOC cable QSFP56–QSFP56 15 m Cyan is an active optical cable (AOC) designed for high-speed server, switch and HPC interconnects. The model is a 15-metre QSFP56-to-QSFP56 link in cyan colour that provides optical transmission with low latency and a lightweight form factor (approx. 0.23 kg). It implements QSFP56 connectivity for InfiniBand and other high-throughput fibre applications, enabling direct device-to-device connections across rack or adjacent rack deployments.

Advantages

The cable delivers optical signal transmission over 15 metres with minimal electromagnetic interference and reduced latency compared with copper alternatives. Its QSFP56 connectors support high-bandwidth links suitable for modern data centre equipment. The lightweight, pre-terminated AOC design simplifies installation and reduces cable management complexity while preserving signal integrity over the full link length.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the AOC by aligning and inserting the QSFP56 connectors into the corresponding QSFP56 ports on compatible switches, servers or adapters. Ensure devices are powered down or support hot-plug insertion according to the hardware manufacturer’s guidelines. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. After insertion, verify link activity and speed via the host equipment’s interface or management tools.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment and avoid exposure to excessive mechanical strain, liquids or dust. For reliable operation, confirm compatibility of QSFP56 ports and firmware support on connected devices and follow the device vendor’s hot-plug and optical diagnostics guidance when available.
