BlueOptics NVP13 InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 3 m QSFP 4xSFP+ stekker/stekker

The BlueOptics NVP13 InfiniBand fibre optic cable 3 m QSFP 4xSFP+ Male/Male is a pre-terminated high-density cable assembly designed for short-reach high-throughput links. With a QSFP connector on one end and four SFP+ connectors on the other, this 3-metre cable supports multi-lane InfiniBand environments and enables direct connectivity between QSFP and SFP+ ports without separate transceivers. Its design focuses on minimizing signal loss and simplifying rack and switch interconnects in data centres and server rooms.

Advantages

This cable provides consolidated multi-lane connectivity in a compact 3 m form factor, reducing the number of individual cables and patching complexity. The factory-terminated fibre construction ensures consistent optical performance and repeatable link quality. Male-to-male connectivity allows straightforward plug-and-play installation into compatible QSFP and SFP+ ports. The cable’s construction is suitable for dense cabling environments where reliable high-speed links are required.

Suitable for

• High-speed InfiniBand links between switches, adapters and servers
• Top-of-rack and end-of-row switch interconnects in data centres
• Server cluster connections and HPC environments
• Short-reach fibre connections in storage area networks (SAN)

Key specifications

• Length: 3 m
• Connector configuration: QSFP to 4 × SFP+ (male to male)
• Cable type: Pre-terminated multimode fibre assembly suitable for InfiniBand multi-lane use
• Use: Short-reach, high-bandwidth interconnects
• Form factor: High-density breakout design for consolidated cabling

How to use

Identify the QSFP port on the switch or adapter and insert the QSFP end of the cable until it latches securely. Route the cable through the rack to the target device and connect the four SFP+ plugs to the corresponding SFP+ ports. Ensure connectors are clean before insertion to avoid contamination-related loss. After connection, verify link status through device LEDs or management software and perform any required interface configuration for the InfiniBand lanes.

Recommendations

Use the cable within recommended bend radii and avoid tight kinks. Store and handle the pre-terminated ends by their housings and protect unused connectors with dust caps. For optimal results in high-density installations, plan cable routing to minimize stress on connectors and maintain proper airflow in racks.
