SFP+ actieve optische kabel CBO SFP-AOC-10G-15M 10 Gbit/s, 15 m

CBO SFP-AOC-10G-15M is an SFP+ active optical cable that provides 10 Gbps full-duplex throughput over a fixed 15 m link. Engineered for direct connections between switches, servers and other SFP+ equipped network devices, this BlueOptics AOC integrates optical transceivers and fiber in a single, pre-terminated assembly to eliminate the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. The cable is intended to deliver low-latency, power-efficient optical connectivity suitable for dense rack environments and short-reach data center links.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers simplified deployment with plug-and-play operation, reduced power consumption compared with separate transceiver plus copper cabling, and consistent signal integrity over the 15 m distance. Its integrated design reduces cable bulk in server racks and minimizes insertion points, which helps improve airflow and rack organization. The AOC supports standard SFP+ interfaces and is compatible with common network equipment that accepts SFP+ modules.

Suitable for

• 10 Gbps uplinks between network switches in a data center
• Direct server-to-switch connections in server racks
• Storage area network (SAN) links requiring short-reach optical connectivity
• High-density interconnects where reduced cable weight and improved airflow are important

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps full-duplex
• Form factor: SFP+ integrated active optical cable
• Link length: fixed 15 meters
• Interface: SFP+ electrical/optical host connectors
• Latency: low-latency optical transmission suitable for high-throughput environments
• Power: designed for reduced power consumption compared with discrete transceiver solutions
• Operating environment: suitable for typical data center ambient conditions

How to use

Install the CBO SFP-AOC-10G-15M by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on network devices until the module latches. No additional transceivers or fiber patching is required. Verify link status through the device management interface and confirm that ports negotiate at 10 Gbps. For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use this AOC within its specified 15 m distance for short-reach connections inside racks and between adjacent racks. Maintain gentle bend radii, avoid exposure to excessive heat sources, and ensure compatibility with the SFP+ host ports in your network equipment. For inventory and replacement planning, keep spare assemblies on hand to minimize downtime during hardware changes.
