BlueOptics SFP28-25G-AOC30M-BO InfiniBand glasvezelkabel 30 m aqua

The BlueOptics SFP28-25G-AOC30M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 30 m Aqua is a 30-meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 to SFP28 connectors, designed for high-speed short-reach connections in data centers and networking equipment. The cable uses multimode fiber and integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end to convert and transmit optical signals according to the 25GBASE-SR4/25G specifications. It is supplied in an aqua jacket and is intended for environments where reliable 25 Gbit/s links are required between compatible ports.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides a factory-integrated solution with SFP28 connectivity for straightforward insertion into compatible ports without separate transceivers. Its 30 m length supports flexible rack-to-rack or row-to-row deployments in data center layouts while eliminating the need for separate fiber patch cords and transceiver modules. The integrated transmitter and receiver modules reduce installation complexity and the multimode design supports standardized 25G short-reach data rates.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC by inserting the SFP28 connectors into compatible SFP28 ports on networking devices until the latches engage. Ensure both ends are seated in SFP28-compliant slots and that the connected devices are configured for 25G operation if required. No separate transceiver modules or fiber patching are necessary since the cable contains integrated optical transceivers. Verify link status through the equipment's interface indicators or management software after physical installation.

Recommendations

Use this AOC in environments with compatible SFP28 ports and ensure device firmware or vendor support for third-party AOCs if applicable. Avoid tight bends and maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radii for multimode fiber. For consistent 25G performance, pair the cable with equipment that supports 25GBASE-SR4 or equivalent 25G short-reach interfaces.
