BNC video/audio adapter ShiverPeaks 98875 – audio-video N-koppeling

The ShiverPeaks 98875 BNC Video/Audio Adapter is a passive coupling that converts between BNC-terminated coaxial cables and N-type coaxial connectors. Designed for audio and video signal transfer, this compact metal adapter provides a direct inline connection without active components, enabling compatibility between devices and cable assemblies that use BNC and N connectors. Its straightforward design makes it suitable for temporary or permanent signal routing in surveillance, broadcast and RF extension setups.

Advantages

The adapter offers a compact metal construction that ensures reliable electrical contact and mechanical stability. As a passive coupling, it requires no power or configuration and maintains the original signal path with minimal intervention. Its BNC-to-N conversion supports quick inline coupling of existing coaxial cables and simplifies system integration where mixed connector types are present.

Suitable for

• Connecting surveillance cameras with BNC outputs to equipment with N-type inputs
• Integrating BNC-terminated coaxial cables into broadcast or monitoring racks that use N connectors
• Linking RF test equipment, extenders or distribution components with differing connector types

Key specifications

• Connector conversion: BNC female to N female coupling
• Function: Passive inline adapter for audio and video coaxial signals
• Construction: Metal housing for electrical contact and durability
• Application areas: Surveillance, broadcast, RF/extension systems

How to use

To use the ShiverPeaks 98875 adapter, align and mate the BNC connector of one cable to the adapter’s BNC side, then screw or push the N-type connector of the other cable onto the adapter’s N side as appropriate for the connector gender. Ensure connections are tightened securely and that cable strain is minimized to maintain stable electrical contact. No power, drivers or configuration are required; the adapter transmits the existing coaxial audio or video signal between the two connector types.

Recommendations

Inspect connectors and cable shielding for damage before installation, and avoid over-torquing N-type connections. Use the adapter in environments consistent with the cable and connector specifications, and limit exposure to moisture or corrosive conditions to preserve contact quality.
