Boor Bosch SDS plus-5 2608597122

Drill Bits Bosch SDS plus-5 2608597122 are designed for drilling in concrete and masonry with compatibility for rotary hammers using SDS plus holders. The bit features a grooved carbide plate with notches to penetrate material more easily and reduce the risk of jamming. An Activeteq centring tip provides stable guidance for precise hole starts, while AWB brazing and hardening technology reduces vibration during use. A visible wear mark helps determine whether the hole diameter remains within tolerance for metal anchor setting. The product carries the PGM Masonry Drill Bit Association Board test mark and is manufactured in Germany.

Advantages

The Bosch SDS plus-5 2608597122 combines a grooved carbide cutting head and notched edges for easier penetration into concrete and masonry, an Activeteq centring tip for accurate starts, and AWB brazing and hardening to reduce vibration and increase durability. The visible wear mark supports correct anchor installation, and the PGM test mark confirms adherence to tight tolerances and reliable performance.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in concrete
• Drilling in masonry and brickwork
• Installing metal anchors and fixings
• Use with SDS plus rotary hammers

How to use

Fit the SDS plus-5 bit into a compatible SDS plus rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions. Start drilling using the Activeteq centring tip for a stable start, applying steady pressure without forcing the bit. Allow the tool to do the work and withdraw periodically to clear dust. Monitor the wear mark to confirm the bit still produces the correct hole diameter for metal anchors; replace the bit when the wear mark is no longer visible or if cutting performance declines.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (eye and ear protection, dust mask and gloves) and follow the rotary hammer manufacturer’s safety instructions. For best results in reinforced concrete, use controlled feed and cooling pauses to prolong bit life.
