The cordless rotary hammer Bosch GBH 18V-28 D Professional is an 18 V SDS-plus tool engineered for drilling and light chiselling in masonry, concrete and natural stone. Its battery-powered design removes the need for a mains connection and enables portable operation on construction sites or in renovations. The model is compatible with Bosch Professional 18V batteries and is intended for tradespeople and DIY users who need a compact, mobile rotary hammer for drilling holes, inserting anchors and performing small demolition tasks.

Advantages

This rotary hammer combines SDS-plus bit compatibility with a compact 18 V platform to deliver balance between power and portability. The cordless design increases jobsite mobility and simplifies work in locations without convenient power access. Mechanical impact mechanism and variable speed control offer control when drilling into masonry or concrete, while a dedicated chisel/rotation mode makes light chiselling and anchor removal practical. The tool’s ergonomic handle and weight distribution are designed to reduce user fatigue during extended use.

• Light chiselling and removal of small plaster or tile areas
• Installation of wall anchors and fixings in renovation work
• Portable on-site tasks where mains power is not available

Select the appropriate operating mode for the task: rotation with impact for drilling anchors, rotation only for standard drilling, or chisel mode for light demolition work. Use variable speed and steady pressure to control drilling progress; avoid forcing the tool to maintain optimal bit life. Follow standard safety practices including eye protection, hearing protection and secure footing when working on ladders or scaffolds.

Recommendations

For best results, use Bosch Professional 18V batteries with sufficient charge and a compatible charger. Match bit type and size to the material and task, and allow the tool to cool during extended continuous use. Store the rotary hammer and accessories in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
