Boorhamer Bosch GBH 18V-28 CF PROFESSIONAL

The Bosch GBH 18V-28 CF PROFESSIONAL SDS Plus cordless perforator is a brushless rotary hammer designed for drilling and light chiselling in concrete and masonry. It delivers an impact energy of 3.3 J and an impact rate up to 4,220 bpm, enabling efficient progress when making holes up to 28 mm in diameter in concrete. The tool is powered by an 18 V battery system; two 8 Ah batteries are included to provide extended runtime while keeping the overall tool weight at approximately 3.4 kg for improved manoeuvrability on job sites.

Advantages

The brushless motor increases efficiency and reduces maintenance compared with brushed designs, while the cordless configuration provides freedom of movement without trailing cables. High impact rate and consistent 3.3 J impact energy enable stable drilling performance in concrete and masonry. The combination of a compact form factor and a 3.4 kg weight improves handling in overhead and confined-space work. Supplied with two batteries, the kit is ready for extended use and quick battery swaps to minimise downtime.

• Drilling anchor, dowel and through holes in concrete and masonry (up to 28 mm)
• Light chiselling and material removal tasks on construction sites
• Installation work that requires cordless mobility and fast changeover
• Trade professionals and maintenance teams needing a compact, powerful rotary hammer

How to use

Select the appropriate SDS Plus drill bit or chisel and secure it in the tool’s chuck according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Fit a fully charged 18 V battery and set the machine to the required mode (drilling with impact or chiselling) using the mode selector. Start drilling at low speed to position the bit, then increase speed and apply steady pressure while allowing the tool’s impact action to do the work. For chiselling, use short controlled passes and reposition the tool as needed. Turn the tool off and remove the battery before changing accessories or performing maintenance.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye, ear and respiratory protection when working with the perforator. For extended work periods, keep a second charged battery ready to maintain continuous operation. Use correct drill bit types for concrete and masonry; inspect bits and the tool regularly for wear. Avoid exposing the tool to heavy rain or prolonged dust ingress and follow Bosch maintenance guidelines to ensure long-term performance.
