Bosch GEX 125-1 AE excentrische schuurmachine 12000 tpm 24000 OPM blauw

The Bosch GEX 125-1 is a corded random orbital sander with a 125 mm sanding pad, designed for small areas and spot repair work. It features a 250 W motor, maximum idle speed up to 12,000 min⁻¹ and an oscillation rate of 24,000 OPM. The compact dimensions (122 × 227 × 150 mm) and lightweight build (1.3 kg) provide easy handling for sanding, intermediate sanding, lacquer removal and surface finishing on wood, veneer, lacquer, filler, mineral and acrylic surfaces. The tool is compatible with the Bosch Click & Clean System and uses a hook-and-loop sanding pad with a built-in Bosch Micro Filter System for efficient dust extraction.

Advantages

The tool’s compact and ergonomic design with multiple grip positions ensures comfortable use, including for overhead tasks. Speed preselection enables controlled work on different materials. Integrated Bosch Micro Filter dust extraction and compatibility with the Click & Clean System reduce airborne dust and simplify dust management. The hook-and-loop sanding pad allows quick and secure abrasive changes.

Suitable for

• Sanding and intermediate sanding of wood and veneered surfaces
• Removal of lacquer and surface preparation for refinishing
• Sanding filler and smoothing mineral or acrylic surfaces
• Spot repairs and small-area sanding tasks

How to use

Fit the appropriate 125 mm abrasive to the hook-and-loop sanding pad, select the recommended speed for the material using the speed preselection control, and switch the sander on. Move the tool with light, even pressure across the workpiece in overlapping passes to achieve a consistent finish. For lacquer removal or heavy material removal, begin with coarser grit and progress to finer grits for final smoothing. Connect a compatible dust extraction accessory or the integrated dust box to minimise dust during operation.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment (safety glasses, dust mask and hearing protection) when sanding. Allow the motor to reach the selected speed before contacting the surface. Avoid excessive pressure to prevent uneven sanding and premature wear of abrasives. Clean or replace the Micro Filter regularly to maintain effective dust extraction.
