Bosch GTR 55-225 droogbouwschuurmachine 910 tpm zwart, blauw 550 W

The Bosch GTR 55-225 is a drywall sander designed for finishing and smoothing plaster and gypsum board surfaces. It combines a 550 W input power with a maximum idle speed of 910 RPM to provide consistent sanding performance across interior wall and ceiling surfaces. The tool’s compact footprint — 250 mm width and 210 mm height — and ergonomic shape support controlled handling during extended use. The sander has a weight of 4.8 kg and comes in Bosch’s familiar blue and black colour scheme.

Advantages

The Bosch GTR 55-225 delivers steady sanding speed suitable for a range of surface textures while maintaining manageable noise exposure at a sound power level of 95 dB. Its ergonomic design reduces operator strain and improves precision when sanding edges and flat areas. The moderate weight contributes to stability without being overly cumbersome, and the compact dimensions make storage and transport simpler on site.

How to use

Connect the Bosch GTR 55-225 to a compatible power source and select an appropriate sanding pad or abrasive for the material and finish required. Start the tool at a low speed to position it on the work surface, then increase to the operating speed as needed to achieve uniform removal of joint compound or surface material. Move the sander with smooth, overlapping strokes, keeping consistent pressure to avoid gouging. Pay attention to edges and corners and use smaller passes where precise control is required.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, a dust mask or respirator, and hearing protection when operating the sander. For improved dust control, connect the tool to a compatible extraction system where possible. Select abrasive grit progressively from coarse to fine to achieve the desired surface finish and minimise rework.
