Bosch HSS spiraalboren PointTeQ

The Bosch HSS Twist Drill Bit PointTeQ (MPN 2608577174, EAN 3165140906838) is a high-speed steel drill bit designed for precision drilling in metal and wood. Manufactured to DIN 338 as a Type N twist drill with a 135° point angle and right-hand rotation, the bit features a black-oxide coated flute for efficient chip removal and an elastic body that reduces the risk of breakage, particularly for diameters below 6 mm.

Advantages

The HSS construction provides durability and efficient cutting performance while the black-oxide coating on the flute improves chip evacuation. The screw-thread geometry and elastic body reduce the likelihood of breakage; this is especially beneficial for smaller diameters under 6 mm. Compliance with DIN 338 and the 135° point ensure consistent centring and stable drilling in a range of materials.

Suitable for

• Precision drilling in metal
• Drilling in wood
• Workshop and DIY projects
• Applications requiring a 135° point for improved centring

How to use

Secure the drill bit in the chuck ensuring it is seated straight and tightened. Select the appropriate drill speed for the material—slower speeds for metal and higher speeds for wood—apply steady feed pressure and let the drill bit cut without excessive force. Use cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling metals to extend bit life and reduce heat. After use, clean chips from the flute and store the bit in its blister pack or a suitable holder.

Recommendations

For best results, use the Bosch HSS Twist Drill Bit PointTeQ at recommended speeds for the material, apply cutting fluid when drilling metal, and avoid excessive side loads. For diameters below 6 mm, avoid aggressive feed to minimize breakage risk.
