Bout Cimco 190210 — verzinkt staal, 40 mm lengte, 6 mm schroefdraaddiameter, voor hout, 1 stuk

Cimco 190210 is a single galvanized steel bolt designed for woodworking applications. The bolt has a total length of 40 mm and a thread diameter of 6 mm, and is supplied as one piece. A zinc coating provides corrosion resistance for indoor use and for installations in sheltered outdoor environments. The bolt is intended for secure connections in timber, furniture assembly and light structural joinery where a medium-diameter threaded fastener is required.

Advantages

The galvanized steel construction delivers improved resistance to rust compared with untreated steel, extending service life in conditions where occasional moisture or humidity occurs. The 6 mm thread diameter balances strength and ease of driving into predrilled holes for wood, while the 40 mm length suits a variety of panel and frame thicknesses. Supplied as a single piece, it is convenient for small repairs and precise projects that require individual fasteners.

How to use

Select an appropriate drill bit to create a pilot hole in the wood that matches the bolt’s root diameter to avoid splitting. For through-connections use a nut and washer on the opposite side if required; for blind joints use a threaded insert or anchor suitable for timber. Tighten the bolt with a wrench or socket until the joint is secure but avoid over-torquing, which can crush wood fibers or strip threads. If used outdoors, install in a sheltered location or apply additional protective coatings to the surrounding timber if long-term exposure is expected.

Recommendations

Use a pilot hole slightly smaller than the outer thread diameter for maximum clamping force without splitting the wood. Match the bolt with washers to distribute load on soft or laminated materials and select a compatible nut grade for structural applications.
