Bout Cimco 190235, verzinkt staal, houtverbinder, 60 mm lengte, 10 mm schroefdraaddiameter, 1 stk.

Cimco 190235 is a galvanized steel wood fastener designed for secure connections in timber. The bolt is 60 mm long with a 10 mm thread diameter and supplied as a single piece. Its zinc-coated surface provides basic corrosion resistance suitable for indoor and some protected outdoor carpentry and construction applications where a robust mechanical connection in wood is required.

Advantages

The galvanized steel construction reduces the risk of rust compared with plain steel, extending service life in environments with occasional moisture exposure. A 10 mm thread diameter offers strong shear and tensile capacity for typical timber joints, while the 60 mm length is suitable for medium-thickness members. Supplied as one piece, the bolt is ready for immediate use and compatible with standard hex or socket driving tools appropriate for bolts of this diameter.

How to use

Select an appropriate drill bit to create a pilot or clearance hole depending on whether the bolt will be used with a nut or driven directly into timber. Align the bolt through the components to be joined, insert a matching nut or secure into a pre-threaded fitting, and tighten with a wrench or socket until the joint is firm but without over-torquing, which can damage the wood fibers. For best results, use washers where bearing surfaces need protection and ensure the assembled parts are clamped during tightening to maintain alignment.

Recommendations

For outdoor or high-humidity applications, consider additional protective measures such as painting or using stainless hardware. Avoid overtightening to prevent splitting of thin or soft wood; pre-drilling pilot holes sized to the wood species and bolt diameter improves joint strength and reduces the risk of splitting.
