Schroef Fischer PowerFast II 8,0x240 TK TX TG blvz 50

The fischer wood construction screw PowerFast FPF II-WTP BC (8,0 x 240 mm) is a flange-head wood screw with TX star recess and partial thread, intended for secure connections in timber constructions. The flange head combined with the TX drive ensures stronger clamping of joined parts and reduces the risk of the head punching through the material. The partial thread enables firm pull-together of wooden elements. The product is covered by a European Technical Assessment for added safety.

Advantages

The PowerFast II screw features a thread shape that allows easy driving without pre-drilling in many timber applications; the thread extends to the tip for a fast bite. Shank ribs reduce screwing resistance, lowering the required manual or battery power during installation. The flange head with TX recess increases resistance against head pull-through and improves clamping force between components.

Suitable for

• Timber-to-timber connections
• Structural timber assemblies and framing
• Wooden decking, pergolas and outdoor timber constructions
• Indoor wood joinery where high clamping force is required

How to use

Select a TX bit that matches the screw recess and use an appropriate driver or cordless drill with adjustable clutch settings. Position the screw and drive it straight into the timber; pre-drilling is generally not required for many timber types thanks to the thread geometry, but use a pilot hole where recommended by timber or structural guidelines. Stop driving when the flange head sits flush and the desired clamp is achieved; avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the components.

Recommendations

For structural applications, follow local building codes and the European Technical Assessment guidance. When installing outdoors or in exposed locations, ensure compatible corrosion protection is specified for the environment and verify load and spacing requirements for safe assembly.
