Bulletcamera Hikvision iDS-2CD7A46G2/P-IZHSY (2,8–12 mm) 8MP DeepinView

Hikvision iDS-2CD7A46G2/P-IZHSY is an 8MP DeepinView bullet camera with a 2.8–12 mm varifocal lens designed for outdoor video surveillance. The camera combines high-resolution imaging with Deep Learning-based analysis capabilities to capture fine detail at varying distances, making it suitable for perimeter monitoring and areas where both wide coverage and zoomed detail are required. Built for professional security installations, the camera supports adjustable focal length to adapt field of view to specific mounting locations.

Advantages

The camera delivers 8MP resolution for clear, detailed images and supports a varifocal 2.8–12 mm lens that enables flexible framing from wide-angle to telephoto. DeepinView analytics improve object recognition accuracy and reduce false alarms by leveraging on-board deep learning processing. Weather-resistant housing and professional mounting options provide reliable outdoor operation. The combination of high resolution and intelligent processing helps to capture license plates, faces and small details at longer distances than lower-resolution models.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and fence line surveillance
• Parking lots and vehicle access control
• Commercial building exterior monitoring
• Entrances, gates and driveways requiring detail capture
• Areas needing intelligent event filtering and analytics

Key specifications

• Image sensor and resolution: 8 megapixels
• Optics: 2.8–12 mm motorized varifocal lens for adjustable field of view
• Deep learning analytics: on-board DeepinView processing for object detection and classification
• Form factor: bullet-style camera designed for outdoor mounting
• Low-light performance: enhanced imaging for night and low-illumination conditions
• Durability: weather-resistant housing suitable for outdoor environments

How to use

Install the camera at a mounting height and angle that provide the desired coverage and detail; start with wider view to establish context and then adjust the varifocal lens to zoom in on critical areas such as entrances or license plate zones. Connect the camera to a compatible network video recorder (NVR) or a PoE-enabled switch for power and data transmission, and integrate it into your video management system. Configure DeepinView analytics through the device interface to define detection zones, sensitivity and target types. Test motion detection, exposure and focus during setup to ensure reliable capture under day and night conditions.

Recommendations

For optimal results, mount the camera with an unobstructed line of sight and avoid direct exposure to strong light sources that can cause glare. Use the varifocal lens to balance between scene context and detail: start at the widest setting for orientation, then adjust toward 12 mm to capture faces or license plates. Regularly verify firmware updates and analytics configuration to maintain detection accuracy and system security.
