How to use

Insert cassette tapes into either deck and use the transport controls to play, record or stop. Adjust pitch control and monitor level meters to set appropriate playback or recording levels. To digitise a tape, connect the W-1200 to a computer via USB, select the computer’s audio-recording software and record at up to 48 kHz / 16-bit PCM. Use the mic inputs and mic-mixing function when recording live sources or karaoke. The timer REC/PLAY can be used with compatible external audio timers to schedule recordings.

Recommendations

For best results when digitising tapes, clean cassette heads regularly, set levels to avoid clipping on the level meters, and choose 48 kHz / 16-bit PCM in your recording software to obtain CD-quality digital files.
